Why It Matters

  • Sub-Saharan Africa raised primary school enrollment from 52% (1990) to 78% (2012), yet major inequalities remain.
  • Children from the poorest households are 4x more likely to be out of school.
  • Rural vs. urban disparities remain high.

05

Our Commitment

Education is the most powerful driver of sustainable development. In line with the UN SDG for Quality Education, this project works to:

  • Ensure free primary & secondary schooling for all by 2030
  • Expand affordable vocational training & higher education access
  • Eliminate gender and wealth disparities in education

Educational challenges on the slopes of Kilimanjaro

On the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro lies Mnini Secondary School. Dugga’s co-founders have long supported the community, contributing to water distribution and the rebuilding of the school.

Now, the next step is to transform Mnini into a modern digital school. Together with key partners, Dugga aims to build a coalition of innovative tech partners to create a sustainable digital ecosystem for education.

The project

Dugga is committed to advancing the democratization of quality education worldwide. At the heart of this mission, Mnini Secondary School is set to be transformed into a Modern, Fully Digitalized Showcase School — a model for future-ready learning in Tanzania.
